AnatomikModeling has just won the 36th edition of the Inn'Ovations competition, awarded last Thursday January 26th 2017, at the Midinnov trade fair, the essential event of innovation in Occitania / Pyrénées-Méditerrannée.
AnatomikModeling responded to the challenge "Life, health, well-being, food safety, demographic challenge" by proposing a project of the most innovative: 3D custom-made tracheo-bronchial stents to treat different pathologies of the airways (bronchi, trachea).
Based on the most advanced 3D technologies, AnatomikModeling, in collaboration with the Department of Pneumology of Toulouse University Hospital (MD. N. Guibert, MD. C. Hermant, MD. G. Plat, MD, Ph.D J. Mazières, MD,Ph.D, A. Didier), developed these implants perfectly adapted to the anatomy of each patient. This innovation would greatly improve the quality of life of patients, by limiting complications or by proposing a solution to the most complex cases.
These new generation implants are currently in the clinical trial phase at Toulouse University Hospital and are expected to be placed on the market in 2018.
